Award-Winning Tusk Conceptual Garden – Hampton Court Flower Show 2017

05th July 2017

We are thrilled to have delivered Tusk Trust the Conceptual Garden they wished for. It was another success for us with the garden awarded a  RHS Silver Medal. The main reason for the garden was the cause and delivering the message for Tusk. After many months of hard work we are pleased to have made a difference. We both feel so strongly about the subject matter and Tusk Trust, which is a relatively small charity. They do great work on the ground all over Africa and many other countries. If you would like to support them please visit www.tusk.org. For more information on the garden please visit the portfolio section.

Watch our coastal garden design on BBC1 Garden Rescue

17th May 2017

We were contacted by the BBC asking if they could film one of our designs. They were impressed at the design and the representation of the natural coastal setting. It was filmed for the programme Garden Rescue and will be aired on BBC1 in late May. You will find more information on the garden in our portfolio section.

‘Not For Sale’ Conceptual Garden announced to the press – articles in Daily Mail and The Times

Our now titled ‘NotFor Sale’ Conceptual garden has been officially announced. This has prompted articles in the Mail on Sunday and The Times. Hopefully this early interest will spur on a great campaign for the charity.

We will be back at Hampton Court 2017 – Show Garden agreed with Tusk Trust

13th February 2017

We are thrilled to have been accepted by the RHS to show another conceptual Garden at this years Hampton Court Flower Show. We are equally thrilled to be designing and building the garden for Prince Williams charity Tusk Trust. Watch this space but here is a sneaky peak of the design.

The garden will be highlighting the amount of elephants killed needlessly in Africa every day, which is approx 80. This just for their ivory, supporting the devastating trade. We both feel strongly about this issue and hope that our garden will make a difference and help a charity that is very much on the ground, with innovative projects to combat the trade. You can support them by visiting www.tusktrust.org.

Ferguson & Whyte Win RHS Silver-Gilt at Hampton Court

11th July 2016

This was surrounded by a garden with natural planting based on Dungeness. Displaying at the flower show was a great achievement after a lengthy selection process. The garden was judged by the strict RHS judging criteria and gained a RHS Silver-Gilt medal. “Being a part of the show was a fantastic experience and winning a Silver-Gilt medal for our first show garden is something we are all incredibly proud of,” said Mark Whyte Designer.

‘Our Lives in Time’s Hands’ show garden was in the conceptual arena at the flower show. Gardens in this range push the boundaries of design and allow the visitors time to think about the subject matter. The Ferguson and Whyte garden was based on one of Shakespeare’s Sonnets (Sonnet 60) which deals with the passing of time, and as Shakespeare commented:’although you cannot stop time, you can harness time to leave a message for future generation’. Visitors entering the garden were invited to leave their own messages.
